Other news, I am back on facebook giving it another try. So far, it has been great reconnecting.
The recent events in Arizona have been painful and I think I have shed tears almost every day since the shootings happened. The crazy thing is that I was participating in the Puente healthfair when it happened. I was so glad to be there and part of a healing movement in the midst of the tragedy. We have to stick together and hold the space for healing in this very "sick" state.
At the healthfair I had a chance to meet Robert Haasch, husband of Alicen Haasch, a local midwife here in AZ. He has been covering all of the events relating to the immigration issue and has a great website, if you are interested in more information.
