Going to Chiapas in October was a life changing trip (again). I stayed with my dearest friend Teresa, attended fantastic parties, spent time with Cris and many other lovely and unbelievably talented and generous friends. It was nice to have time for fun but also to rethink about social justice issues, enjoy art, prepare good food and find ourselves talking about all things 'love'. It was important preparation for 2011 and what promises to be change, growth and movement in exciting new directions.
I am looking forward to seeing clients and friends at the fundraiser Freedom is throwing for Karen Alexander at my house December 23rd. If you'd like to join us, please check out the invitation. It is truly meant to be an easy, relaxing way to mingle before Christmas while at the same time raising a small bit of money for Karen.
We have great fun in our office. Last night, Wendi, Dawn and Jennifer were running around decorating while I was doing appointments. Our office is so lovely and the art keeps changing and growing. Right now we have a lot of Vicki's mandalas on our walls and Richard gifted us the photo of our client Roopa. YAY - we are so lucky! It makes us all so happy to change out the energy in the space while keeping it peaceful and family/child friendly.
Speaking of that, Jennifer has totally transformed our front room into a tea room! She used to own a vegan tea room in Scottsdale and is bringing her many talents to the office. So, if you need a place to decompress, please come by. We promise you can sit in there, have some hot tea, and relax. She is also having an amazing Mother Earth Girls Circle on January 4th and will be serving free tea and truffles. Oh, it is wonderful to have dear Jennifer grace the office!
The leaves in the front of our building are super gorgeous right now. Yellow and falling. If you want some fall photos it is a nice place to come. Or if you want to just play in those leaves.Sometime soon, Freedom is teaming with the women of Babymoon Inn to attend our first birth-center birth at that location. A client who had to come in from a city many hours away wisely choose the birth center and, lucky us, choose our practice to attend her there :). What a wonderful option for mamas - thank you, Babymoon.
I look forward to tomorrow. To having breakfast with Wendi and Sarah. To the luxury of Christmas shopping. To a safe and abundant dinner with my children. A warm bath before bedtime.
Anita has soul.
forgive the ads which last about 50 seconds or so and then disappear...it is worth it for this old video.
